Bunk Barn

Traing space and group accommodation

Sunny day at Bushey Heath - more photos in Gallery

The Bunk Barns have been converted from the existing Grade 2 listed farm buildings to high quality group bunk barn accommodation. Heating is by Ground Source Heat Pump and the conversion incorporates many recycled building materials such as flooring, doors and stonework.

We also utilize rainwater harvesting to flush the loos in the barns.  Both bunk barns offer high quality accommodation, the facilities in each include radiator central heating, full self-catering kitchens complete with all the cutlery, crockery, pans and utensils you will need.

The kitchens are equipped with stainless ‘range’ cookers with extractor hoods, fridges, microwaves, toasters and kettles.

The bunk barns are intended for groups looking for a base rather than a ‘holiday cottage’. As such there is no garden or yard area for children, however when the campsite is open in the summer there is plenty of space to play games, etc.

The Hen House.

The Hen House is a bunk barn for families and groups of 8 persons.

The Hen House has two bedrooms upstairs with 4 wide bunk beds in each, along with a luxury shower room, all framed in the exposed beams of this listed barn. Downstairs is a large kitchen/dining/sitting room with pew seating, a downstairs loo and ample kitchen facilities for 8. Basic blankets and pillows are provided along with pillowcases, but sleeping bags, towels and tea towels are required.

The Little Barn.

The Little Barn is a bunk barn for famililes and groups of 6 persons.

The Little Barn offers the same range of facilities as the Hen House, except it comprises one large room with 6 bunks with a luxury shower room upstairs; down stairs the open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room with ample facilities for self catering, and another loo.
